Christine Hastie will give a day-long workshop on the fine art of editing and writing for the web. This will be held at the Atwater Library Auditorium, 1200 Atwater, Westmount, on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 10 am to 3 pm. Call 514-932-5633 to register. Non-AELAQ members $20. AELAQ members $5.
No lunch will be served, but an hour will be given to visit some of the neighbourhood's eateries.

Phyllis Aronoff, President of the Literary Translators' Association of Canada will discuss translation, particularly as it pertains to publishers.

The AELAQ's professional development seminars are based on AELAQ members' needs, and are open to AELAQ members, members of other publishing firms or associations, and to anyone with a general interest in book publishing.
Some of the seminars are restricted to AELAQ members, and some are offered to only a limited number of participants, so contact us for further information.
There is often a fee, particularly for non-members.
Preregistration is mandatory, and suggestions for future sessions are gratefully received.
